====== Creating the EOS ====== ===== General ===== The EOS (Enterprise Organisation Structure) is used to represent the structure of the corporation that uses the LOGO CRM. It is represent by a tree structure with an unlimited number of levels. Users and organisation units are created here and given functions. {{:en:logo:8:eos1.png?300|}} The structure of the EOS determines the rights of users and company divisions inside the LOGO CRM. A clear and clean drawing of the company structure is crucial! Later revisions in the EOS can lead to problems with the application. Which is why the EOS should be discussed properly beforehand. ===== EOS - Function ===== When building the EOS, functions are created first (e.g. region, country, office, department). You move from top to bottom and assign the function above as “superior unit”. A function can be selected in different offices, so each function (e.g. sales department) has to be created once and can be used multiple times. A Requirment is, that the function has to be on the same level in EOS. If a function is needed on multiple levels (e.g. Super User for country and for office), it needs to be created multiple times (i.e. Super User country + Super User office). An EOS function contains rights that are passed to every user who gets that function. {{:en:logo:8:eosfunctions.png|}} ===== EOS - Unit ===== Now the EOS units are created, which are the fix points for the company structure, e.g. countries Germany and the Netherlands, offices at Düsseldorf and Rotterdam, with departments like sales. {{:en:logo:8:eosunits.png|}} ===== EOS - Functions, Rights ===== Now the functions receive their proper rights. This happens in close discussion with the client. Basically the rights are as follows: Super-User have many an extensive rights, while normal User have just enough rights to do their work properly. {{:en:logo:8:eosrights.png|}} ===== User ===== Now users can be created and the proper EOS unit can be selected for the user from the dropdown menu. Also, a user can now receive his respective function. The contents of the dropdown menus are dependent on the superior-units and the functions on the selected level. {{:en:logo:8:eosuser.png|}} The Super User, who creates normal users, creates a temporary password. Through the activation of a checkbox he can force the user to change passwords on his next login. The rights each user gains from his function can be altered at any time.
